Georgia Veterans State Park has a number of structures throughout the park that can be rented for group gatherings. Whether hosting a birthday party under an open-air shelter or renting an air-conditioned pavilion for that much-needed family reunion, Georgia Veterans State Park in Cordele, GA has the right fit for your group’s needs.
Rentals can be used from 9 am to 10 pm. Each rental requires a 50% deposit to hold and the balance is due upon pickup of keys or occupancy. Reservations and keys will be made available at the Visitor Center from 9 am to 5 pm. Special accommodations can be made through the Visitor Center by calling 229-276-2371.

These open-air, covered shelters include 6 picnic tables, 1 electrical outlet, water and a grill. Each picnic shelter can easily accommodate up to 20 people. Cost is $55 per day to rent.

The Beach Shelter is both screened in and covered and sits next to the beach. It can accommodate up to 5 picnic tables has 1 electric outlet, outside water and an outdoor grill. The Beach Shelter can easily accommodate up to 15 people and is $100 per day to rent.
The Lakeview Pavilion is screened in and covered. It has electric, outdoor water, outdoor grill, ceiling fans and it is next to the playground. It can easily accommodate up to 72 people at a time with up to 10 picnic tables. The cost is $175 per day to rent.
The Group Shelter is an air-conditioned and heated building that features a kitchen with a range and oven, a microwave, an ice machine, commercial refrigerator and commercial freezer. It also has both Ladies and Men's bathrooms. The building also featured electric, water and an indoor fireplace. Outside the building is a BBQ Pit. The Group Shelter can easily accommodate up to 150 people with 25 tables and 150 chairs. Cost is $300 per day to rent. This is the only ADA Accessible shelter at Georgia Veterans State Park.
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend trip to Lake Blackshear. We loved everything about it here . Food was delicious at both restaurants and the live entertainment was awesome at Cypress Grill!

Such a beautiful facility! Great food. Wonderful rooms with plenty of space. Private, screened in balcony looking over the lake. If you have to be at a conference, this scenery makes it enjoyable.
