Georgia Veterans State Park has 82 campsites designed to accommodate tents, trailers or RVs. The park is also home to two primitive Pioneer Campsites that are typically use by non-profit groups such as scouts, schools and church groups.
Camping in Georgia Veterans State Park is a great way to enjoy the many amenities and activities within the park including boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, golf, birding, bicycling and much more!
Georgia Veterans State Park is a site-specific campsite, meaning that reservations are made for specific campsites. Plan ahead to reserve one of the lakeside sites which you can pull a boat right up to your campsite. The campgrounds is adjacent to a boat ramp and fishing pier, making fishing and boating convenient to all campsites.
Each campsite Each campsite can accommodate a Trailer or RV up to 50 feet and 1 tent or just 2 tents. A tent attached to a base with wheels is considered a camper. Only two vehicles per site. Each RV site is equipped with cable TV, water, and electricity hookups.
Generally utilized by non-profit organizations such as scouts, school groups and church groups, these campsites host groups with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 50 people and can accommodate up to 10 tents per campsite. The sites are remotely located but do have water, electricity, and a covered picnic shelter. The Premier Pioneer Camp has a bathhouse with bathrooms, showers, and a refrigerator. The Primitive Pioneer Campsite has only one outhouse.
Please note that Field trial groups must rent both sites to include use of the adjacent wilderness for their programs.
Pets are welcome throughout Georgia Veterans State Park on a 6 ft leash or in a pen. There are pet specific rooms available at the resort. No pets are allowed inside the museum. We have pet waste stations for cleanup after your pet.
Set in the beautiful Georgia Veterans State Park, the resort is pretty easy to find and has the "wow factor" when you drive across the bridge and into the park.
The park has nature trails, Frisbee golf, a playground, boat rentals, a train that goes through the local sites!
Love the veterans museum some very cool historic planes, tank, helicopters and jets. Can't wait to go back!
