The 8700-acre Lake Blackshear is a little bit of paradise in the heart of South Georgia. With a spacious boat launch, getting on the water is fast and easy at the Marina at Lake Blackshear. Whether you are fishing or boating, bringing your own boat or renting one onsite, you can hit the lake without the hassle.
The Marina has a large selection of rental crafts available by the hour or the full day, including pontoon boats, one of which that can accommodate up to 12 guests. A fully stocked Marina Store offers everything a family or anglers will need to spend the day on the water including a gas pump for filling your own watercrafts before heading out for the day.
Summer Hours (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend):

Enhance your lake resort experience by turning a weekend family getaway into a memorable water adventure. Both Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club visitors and guests can enjoy all that lake life has to offer.
Lake Blackshear is well stocked with bass, bream, crappie and catfish on a classic Southern impoundment, complete with cypress flats, flooded timber and all the hidden coves and secret fishing holes that make the experience one of a kind. A valid state fishing license is required and can be purchased at the Visitors Center.
Kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent from the Visitors Center. A shallow shoreline behind the building is perfect for launching these smaller watercrafts.
Enjoy the open water aboard one of our Pontoon boats that can accommodate up to 12 passengers. Launch your own watercraft from our boat launch. Boat slips are available for rent to frequent visitors.
The marina is right on site and you can rent boats! We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat and cruising around the lake for a few hours! 
The Marina is a very short distance from cabins and camping.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two hour boat rental, which let us explore much of the beautiful lake.
