The Bell Iroquois UH-1D, “Huey” Helicopter was used as both a med-vac ambulance and a combat gunship in the Vietnam War. Made in 1964, this helicopter saw service until 1990 and was converted to UH-1H in 1974. Other than the pilot, this aircraft could transport a medical attendant and 6 stretchers, 14 troops, or 4000 lbs of cargo.
